A celebration of black history - past, present and future
To celebrate Black History Month, Middlesex University London will be holding an event on its Hendon Campus exploring the officialtheme of the month – `past, present and future`. A moving exhibition of photography and a Q&A session with Neil Kenlock, the official photographer for the Black Panther movement in the UK will take place for guests.
This event will also celebrate Middlesex University being awarded a UKIED Gold Embedded Corporate Charter Mark – an award that confirms national recognition of the University’s commitment to Equality & Diversity.
Keynote guest speaker Dr Bishop Esme Beswick MBE and current students will `present on the past, present and future` of black history, in line with Black History Month’s national theme for 2019. The audience will have the opportunity to share their own ideas and hopes for the future with a wall installation where they can post their thoughts. A food and drinks reception will be provided where guests can network during the event.
