Making Every Contact Count Training

Community Events
by North West London Health and Care Partnership
Free

Frontline staff working in North West London are excellently placed to make every contact with the general public count. While they have plenty of valuable opportunities to help people to make decisions and positive changes, they might not always find it easy to do this and they might not be aware of local services available to support the changes they want to make.

What is being offered?

A half day training programme to support staff to develop the relevant knowledge, skills, and confidence to be able to deliver brief and very brief interventions through effective conversations, resulting in signposting to relevant local services. It is about connecting with the public and using the appropriate language to do this effectively.

Learning outcomes:
By attending this training session, you will:
Get an understanding of what MECC is all about and the positive impact it can have on health and well-being
Learn a simple MECC technique to help people make healthier lifestyle changes
Be able to use interactions with people as an opportunity to identify an issue and encourage behaviour change
Receive information on signposting to other services for support

You talk to hundreds of members of the community every week, so why not take part in our training programme and make every contact count!

Multiple dates for training are available. Please see the Eventbrite event link for more details.
