Mental Health Night: A night dedicated to talking about Mental Health

Mental Health Night is an evening dedicated to talking about mental health. Despite 1 in 4 having a diagnosable mental illness at some point in their lives, there is still huge stigma surrounding mental health and mental ill health. We’ve come a long way, but more needs to be done. Throughout the night, there will be a variety of performances and speakers, with the opportunity for you to ask questions about the speakers and the work that they do.

Organiser Sam Barakat is cycling 700 miles for McPin Foundation, a mental health research charity. Proceeds from this night will be donated to McPin Foundation.

There are limited free tickets available, although a donation would be appreciated.

Speakers include:

Sam Barakat

Jonny Benjamin MBE

Britt Pflüger

Infecta

Performances include:

‘Welcome to my life’- a show on Sam Barakat’s portrayal of depression

Spoken word by Infecta

(More speakers and performers to be confirmed)
