The influence of social media on our mental health

Our next “Mental Health Matters” event explores the impact from social media – both negative and beneficial – on our mental health.

Is it a factor in contributing to what some clinicians see as a “new schizophrenia”? What role does it play in existing conditions such as drugs, gambling and sex addiction? Is there such a thing as “selfie addiction”?

Hear the views of Dr Antonio Metastasio, C&I Consultant Psychiatrist, who has a particular interest in issues relating to addiction.

Open to anyone – staff, service users and local residents.

Wednesday 24 April 2019 Doors open at 5:30pm; 6pm start, finishing at 7:30pm St Pancras Conference Centre, 4 St Pancras Way, London NW1 0PE
